Ha, the new ... hell, I don't know what to call it. But instead of networking = building relationships, thinking about skill, knowledge, experience et al, now it's ... here's my thing. And that's it.

It's funny. Sort of. Would be if it wasn't also depressing.

I like networking. I remember people, especially those who were great at what they did/do and I love recommending those people to others, even years down the line. But that - apparently - isn't how it's done anymore.

Oh well.
