No debate it’s a soul-destroying business, this unemployment in a world that values only money above everything else. We are in the most painful of transition stages too — between bricks-and-mortar offices and buildings and online work and that is largely due to university business management courses that have failed not just one but two entire generations, filling them with theoretical bullshit instead of sound business practices. No longer can managers manage or even figure out what they are supposed to be doing. They micro-manage to hide their fear and hire people based on lack of intelligence instead of intelligence so they won’t be found out. I’ve never seen so many bad corporate decisions (and yes, government globally) in my life as in the last 20 years. Those who know how to manage — who understand how to evaluate productivity and performance would be delighted to hire those who want to work from home, taking advantage of the cost-cutting, the savings on office space, on insurance, on travel time and overtime and all the other costs of in-house staff. They would know how to evaluate staff for work ethics and knowledge, skills and the ability to learn as they go. Ha, that’s a hilarious concept now. Evaluation? Give it to an agency who knows NOTHING about the business, or the software used, or how to determine if a person even has a brain…and watch the costs mount with every wrong decision.

I’m ranting. I’m sorry. I wish you all the best luck in the world, Terijo and hope you find a place of strength and joy for yourself again.
